In 2024, OWS Advisory established under the experienced duo of Brett Orzel and Jack Smith, who have a combined 30 years’ experience in providing turnaround advisory, restructuring and insolvency services.

Experience
Brett is a Registered Liquidator with over 16 years’ experience as a corporate advisory, restructuring, turnaround and insolvency specialist.
During his career, he has worked on some of Western Australia’s largest corporate collapses including Forge Limited, Sons of Gwalia Limited and Great Southern Limited, together with a large number of SME restructures.
He is a strong advocate of early intervention in a distressed company’s affairs to maximise the options and prospects of its business continuing, and working in partnership with owners, managers and other external advisors and stakeholders to plan, implement and execute the best outcome.

Jack Smith
Director
Experience
Jack has over 13 years’ experience in restructuring, turnaround, advisory and insolvency appointments. Working with key stakeholders facing financial distress.
He has worked across a diverse range of industries across a manner of different engagement roles, including mining, mining services, construction, manufacturing, hospitality, transport logistics and property.
He specialises in assisting businesses in the SME market space, working with companies and individuals to implement solutions and deliver the best possible outcome.
